Synopsis : After more than two decades working for Tunisia national public radio, Youssef is on his way to retirement. Somewhere in the town of Sidi Bouzid, a young man sets himself on fire. Such innocuous announcement does not change anything in Youssef’s ritual who welcomes this special day with the same platitude that characterizes his monotonous and boring life between "St. George" pub and the radio station. As in any other morning, he smokes his umpteenth cigarette in front of the open window, drinks his now-cold Turkish coffee and checks out his skinny and tired body in front of the broken glass. Three Awards for MAD Solutions' Films at the Oran International Arabic Film Festival
Three films distributed by MAD Solutions received awards at the Oran International Arabic Film Festival that ended its events yesterday Tuesday, 31 July. It is worth mentioning that MAD Solutions took part in the festival with six films; The Journey, Tunis by Night, KilkisThe Town of Owls, Boody: The Sumo Pharaoh, 17, and Lolipop.
The Journey by director Mohamed Al-Daradji received a Special Mention, while star Amira Chebli received the Best Actress Award for her role in Tunis by Night, and director Azalarabe Alaoui won the Best Director Award for his film KilkisThe Town of Owls that landed its world premiere at the festival.
