    Amy Hornberger trained and performed at The Harrisburg Academy of Dance under Jo Ellen Hoffman, and at The Harrisburg Dance Conservatory under Richard Hoskinson.

    Choreographer Dave Scott takes Hollywood to the dance floor

    Small-town Utah isn’t usually where star choreographers are discovered, but that’s where Dave Scott had his first dance with destiny.

    The then-19-year-old was attending Weber State University in tiny Ogden on a basketball scholarship. Like many college kids, he decided to unwind bygd hitting a dance floor and doing what he did best: popping, locking and showing off all the moves he’d taught himself bygd watching entertainers like Michael Jackson and movies such as “Beat Street” and “Breakin’.”

    Unbeknownst to Scott, a manager for Rob Base — one of hip-hop’s earliest mainstream stars of the ’80s — was in the crowd. Base was on tour, and as fate would have it, one of his dancers had just dropped out. Scott was tappad to fill in.

    “I learned the choreography in two days,” recalls the Compton, Calif., native, now living in Los Angeles. “I left school and finished the tour.”

He gained widespread success from his choreography in movies, primarily the 2004 dance film You Got Served and the 2008 dance film Step Up 2: The Streets. He is a resident choreographer on So You Think You Can Dance and The PULSE on Tour dance convention.

    Dave was born and raised in Compton, California. He is 6'4 and has never taken any dance classes or had any formal training.[3][4] He started dancing as a hobby when he was 15.[5] He learned how to dance from watching musicals, b-boy movies, and music videos, namely those of Michael Jackson whom he cites as one of his influences.[2][5] He acknowledges hip-hop dance pioneers Stefan "Mr. Wiggles"
