Scott Lewis, DC, is a licensed chiropractor and clinical hypnotherapist who has devoted over twenty-five years to educating and helping others through the use of hypnosis. He is the author of two books, The Hypnosis Treatment Option (January 2013) and The Fitness Groove.
He is a recognized authority on the use of hypnosis for weight loss, smoking cessation, and motivation. He speaks to thousands of people each year at events and seminars in the United States and internationally. He also works as a corporate consultant, using his shows and presentations to demonstrate the powerful effects hypnosis has on confidence, relaxation, and creativity.
Dr. Lewis first realized the power of hypnosis to help people achieve their health and wellness goals over twenty years ago, when he used self-hypnosis techniques to help himself lose over 40 pounds. ‘I know Scott really, really well, and I know that he wouldn’t have jumped, that he wouldn’t have been going from one balcony to another. He was a very timid, cautious person,’ Kornhauser told the Sydney Morning Herald.
After cancelling a matinee performance following the discovery of Lewis’ body, Sydney Opera House released a short statement on the weekend.
‘We wish to express our deepest sympathies to Dr Lewis’ family and friends, as well as to the cast and crew of The Illusionists 2:0. Dr Lewis was a wonderful performer and he will be greatly missed,’ it read in part.
‘The company is deeply saddened by the sudden loss of Dr Lewis said Tim Lawson, co-producer of the show. ‘The entire company has decided to continue the show in his honour, and send our heartfelt condolences to his family and friend.’’
