"Righeira" are an Italian musical duo formed by the "fake" brothers Micheal and Johnson Righeira. Actually, the two members of the group are from Turin, they are not brothers and are called Stefano Rota and Stefano Righi. The two have known each other since school and it was in those years of high school that they began to enter the world of music. At the beginning of , the duo made use of the record production of the La Bionda brothers, successful Italo-Disco producers, with whom they signed a production contract until In the spring of was published the single “Vamos A La Playa" and became the catchphrase of that summer, reaching the first place of the Italian Hit Parade (staying there for seven weeks) and the first places in all the European rankings, selling over three million copies. Righeira (Italian pronunciation:[riˈɡɛira]) were an Italian Italo disco duo, formed in Turin in , that comprised Johnson Righeira (lead vocals and keyboards) and Michael Righeira (backing vocals, keyboards and harmonica). Originally rooted in the early stages of Italo disco music, Righeira's musical style evolved throughout their career, incorporating elements of synth-pop and new wave in their songs in innovative ways, later exploring music styles such as electronic music and regular pop.

The duo was formed after attending the Albert Einstein Scientific High School as schoolmates.
