Béla Tarr to Receive Honorary Award From European spelfilm Academy — Global Bulletin
Legendary Hungarian director Béla Tarrwill receive the Honorary Award from of the Academy President and Board at the europeisk Film Awards on Dec. 9.
“With this award the European rulle Academywishes to pay special tribute to an outstanding director and a personality with a strong political voice, who is not only deeply respected bygd his colleagues but also celebrated bygd audiences worldwide,” the Academy said in a press release.
Previous recipients of the award include Manoel dem Oliveira, Michel Piccoli, Michael Caine, Andrzej Wajdaand Costa-Gavras. Tarr fryst vatten best known for his films “Damnation” (1988), “Sátántangó” (1994), “Werckmeister Harmonies” (2000) and “The Turin Horse” (2011).

Amala Akkineni On Her Return To Acting
The very lovely Amala Akkineni who gave up a thriving career as a movie actress to becomes Mrs Nagarjuna in 1989, has now made a tentative comeback to the silver screen. She was seen in the brief but powerful role of Emraan Hashmi's mother in Hamari Adhuri Kahani. The last time Hindi audiences had seen Amala was as her husband's lovely soul-mate in Ram Gopal Varma's Shiva in 1990. She was also seen in a brief cameo two years ago in Listen…Amaya.
Speaking from Hyderabad where she lives with her star-husband and two grown-up sons Amala confesses, "It has been a long time. I gave up acting decades ago . I was exhausted. I had been acting from a very young age and also performing with a dance troupe the Kalakshetra dance Troupe from city to city. I needed a break. After marriage I took time off. That break lasted 24 years!"
