    Mark Scirto is an American meteorologist who serves KLTV as the chief meteorologist. Additionally, he can be viewed on KLTV 7 News at 4, 5, 6, and 10 p.m. He rejoined the KLTV News Team in January 1994 and has served the station for more than 2 and a half decades. Initially, he joined the KLTV news team in January 1987 as the original Daybreak Meteorologist.

    Mark Scirto is an American journalist who serves as KLTV 7’s Chief Meteorologist. He’s become East Texans’ first and favorite source for the information they care about the most: weather.

    Mark Scirto Career

    Every day at 4 p.m., 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 10 p.m., he may be seen on KLTV 7 News. Mark earned his bachelor’s degree in meteorology from the University of St. Thomas in Houston in 1982. He worked with Wilkens Weather Technologies in Houston from 1980 to 1987, predicting for oil rigs and refineries all around the world. Before joining the KLTV News Team in January 1987 as the first Daybreak Meteorologist, Mark handled forecasting for various radio stations in the Houston region.

    Mark worked for Daybreak for four years before transferring to KPLC-TV Channel 7 in Lake Charles, Louisiana, as Chief Meteorologist for three years. He placed second in the Associated Pre
