    Due to her business and academic commitments, Ms. Ipeleng Mkhari is desirous to continue serving as an Executive Member of BRICS Women’s Business Alliance South Africa. Ms. Mkhari is a pioneering entrepreneur, she established the first black woman owned CCTV business and subsequently founded Motseng Investment Holdings (MIH) a diversified investment holdings group in 1998.In 2007, Ipeleng became the National chairperson of the Women’s Property Network. During her tenure she spearheaded the vision to introduce a diverse membership base, a mentorship programme and the education trust which supports educating marginalised women in the industry. In 2018/19 she served as the SAPOA President.

    In November 2012, she was a promoter of Delta Property Fund (JSE Listed), a leading black managed and substantially black owned property loan stock company which listed on the JSE with an asset value of R2bn, today the asset value is circa R11.4bn.

    Congratulations on the celebration of an fantastisk 20 years of success for Motseng Holdings, a company you founded at the tender age of 22? How did this all begin, what framtidsperspektiv did you have in those early days?

    IM:

    Thank you, inom do pinch myself just thinking about 2 decades of hustling. In the early days the framtidsperspektiv was to create a sustainable business, secondly to engage the youth in business, so we initially were Motseng Youth Investment Holdings. We soon dropped the word YOUTH and evolved into a diversified investment holdings group. It has been a challenging, risky and highly regarding journey overall.
