Foreigner Inducted Into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
Foreigner was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on Saturday night. Present to accept the award was original singer Lou Gramm, keyboardist Al Greenwood, and bassist Rick Wills.
Mick Jones and Dennis Elliott were not in attendance, while Ian McDonald and Ed Gagliardi, died in 2022 and 2014, respectively.
"I'm really sad [Jones] is not here tonight," Sammy Hagar, who inducted the band, said from the stage. "Mick, we love and miss you and congratulations."
Hagar also spoke about his own experiences listening to Foreigner's music, particularly songs like "Jukebox Hero," when he himself was coming up as a rock singer.
"The first time you heard that song you know you were jealous," he said. "To me that's one of the greatest rock vocal performances ever."

1There are foreigners galore, and not only of the Continental variety, in Hogarth's graphic images. As traces of contemporary verbal and visual discourse, they are easily mistaken for signs of the real. In fact, historians have often exploited—and indeed misused—Hogarth's engravings as visual support for their arguments, with the tacit assumption that the Hogarthian prints express eighteenth-century English reality, that they are, in other words, naturalistic and realistic and therefore reliable material and grist for the historian's mill.1 In this paper, I shall be contesting such a reading and view of Hogarth's graphic art. Focusing on the graphie representation of the Continental foreigner, I hope to be able to show that while there are traces of the real in the representations of, say, Italians and Frenchmen, they are above all encoded allusions to texts, images, and general popular attitudes. The Teenager: Musical Director for Gary U.S. Bonds at age 15
The Jean Beauvoir story began in Chicago born to Haitian parents who immigrated to the U.S. in hopes of providing a better education to their children. jean had other interests as a child after he purchased his first drum set. He later switched to bass due to his parents lack of tolerance from being subjected to hearing the constant drum beats.
One of his teachers, seeing his interest in music encourages him to pursue it helping him create the first 'school of rock' and develop his own band in junior high school. He soon began playing all the school functions and the following year began booking his band at venues throughout New York.
While performing at a club in New York he was discovered by the manager for Gary US Bonds, which led to him being hired as a member of the grupp, eventually becoming the music director for Bonds at age 15. It leads Beauvoir to becoming a lead
