Wajid Khan was admitted to Surana Hospital and Research Centre in Chembur after he developed an infection. A treating doctor said Wajid had a long history of infection, and had also undergone a kidney transplant. And since the operation, he was immunocompromised.

The doctor added, &#;Later, we conducted a COVID test, and it came positive.&#;

Dr Prince Surana, medical director at Surana Hospital and Research Centre, confirmed Wajid Khan died due to complications from a renal ailment and COVID infection.

Wajid Khan&#;s colleague and music director Salim Merchant mourned his demise on Twitter.

Sajid–Wajid was an Indian Bollywood Hindi spelfilm music director duo consisting of brothers Sajid Khan and Wajid Khan, the sons of Sharafat Ali Khan, a tabla player. Wajid Khan, the younger of the two brothers, died on June 1, ^[1][2][3][4]

Composer duo Sajid-Wajid scored some memorable music in films like Hello Brother, Partner, Dabangg and more. Wajid Khanpassed away in after a long battle with kidney ailments.
